Job Summary
The Director of Grants Management is primarily responsible for researching and writing the agency’s public grants along with oversight of the grant submission and reporting process. Additionally, the Director of Grants Management will provide administrative support to the Finance department. The Director of Grants Management is supervised by the Controller. The job requires sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics. Must be extremely well organized, detail oriented, and skilled in customer service. Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize multiple projects. Skilled in adherence to deadlines. Excellent communication skills and professional office skills. Independent self-starter with high professional standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3+ years of proven experience in successful grant writing experience, government grants experience preferred
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting, filings, and billings, as required, including adequate maintenance of records. This may include financial reporting, programmatic reporting, performance reporting and any special reporting as required by the granting agencies.
- Review monthly grant billings/submissions, record into accounting software and reconcile to general ledger by monthly deadline.
- Review grants accounts receivables for follow-up.
- Proven knowledge in the area of federal, state and local grant management
- Knowledgeable and experienced with Abila MIP or other database fund accounting software
- Knowledgeable and experienced with HMIS: Homeless Management Information System or similar data collection, management, and reporting system.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills for monitoring accounting records and resolving accounting issues
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite
- A strong work ethic, sense of urgency, attention to detail, and ability to think independently
- Ability to embrace and affirm the mission of the Presbyterian Night Shelter.
- Available to work occasional nights and weekends.
